About Me

Home Sweet Home

I grew up in Southeast Michigan moving a couple times from Troy to Birmingham and finally buying my first home in Royal Oak. I absolutely LOVE my new home and the activities that come along with it.

Ever since I can remember, I have always dreamt about becoming a teacher. I went to elementary school at St. Hugo of the Hills and then transferred to Detroit Country Day (DCDS) in 6th grade where I stayed throughout my high school graduation. During my time at DCDS, I participated in the Fine Arts Conservatory program and played multiple sports- volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse to name a few.

I took my passion for lacrosse with me to Michigan State University where I joined the Women's Club Lacrosse team, eventually becoming President and Captain. Being a part of a team is extremely important to me and my experiences through athletics have transferred into my classroom environment as well.

After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a specialization in Mathematics, I went into my student teaching year where I was placed in a 2nd grade classroom in Hazel Park, Michigan. I had the most amazing mentor teacher and this was such a rewarding experience.

And this brings us to now... I came full circle and landed right back where I started. I began teaching at Detroit Country Day's Lower School and am currently teaching Junior Kindergarten (JK). As a JK teacher, I have a partner teacher with a class of 13. My partner and I balance each other out perfectly making collaboration a breeze! We love teaching together and we love our students even more! Aside from teaching, I coach middle school swimming and lacrosse along with varsity women's lacrosse.
